Hey everyone…I just finished watching the Classic Doubles finals at ITSF World Cup. USA vs France. It was on Zone A YouTube, which should drop later today. I highly recommend it.

There is now an Am Doubles replacing the Rookie/Expert doubles events. Also added back in Super Seniors (60+), and a Moneyball: Sudden Death.

The Moneyball event is a BYP, 3/5 (unlimited ot) single elimination $100 pro $50 am entry, and the winning team also gets their event fee paid for in the Real Moneyball (up to $200 if the same teams enters the event).

I know some concerns have been raised by Pat and others about the double-draw event, and the conflicts it will have. We’re aware of it and plan to mitigate by running one side as much as possible, before starting the second round.

Also, if we run into time constrains all events are subject to a race-to-7 on the loser side.

I added site forums, since the discussion board is the most requested feature. Follow the FORUMS link at the top of the page, or go directly to the Foosball Rants topic.

I also removed some of the CAPTCHA settings, and allowed a little more anonymous access. We’ll see how it goes.

Those of you that obsessively check nwfoosball.com (like I do) have probably noticed some problems. Pat’s community page that has served us so well for so long went down, and bringing it back up has proven challenging.

We are going to start transitioning some of the content and functionality to this site, and will need help with organization, content management, and moderation. WordPress is unfortunately a lot easier for spammers to find and target with automated software.
